Polycarbonate roofing is ideal for; Greenhouses, Car ports, Canopies and Conservatories. Polycarbonate roofing can have several advantages over glass such as its high impact resistance being practically unbreakable in some instances. Its weight is generally half as much as glass making fitting it much easier. It also provides good acoustical insulation and is weather and UV resistant. Other properties of polycarbonate roofing include its wide service temperature range.

The founders of the Polycarb Direct have been involved in the plastics industry for many years and have a wealth of knowledge and experience of it (including polycarbonate roofing). We are not a large corporate business, and we aim to provide a top quality service to our customers in a friendly manner.
Polycarb Direct started off in a tiny office with an even smaller storage space focusing on internet sales. We then moved to a warehouse space to enable us to have on hand enough stock to supply the local trade. We have since then had to move to an even bigger space, moving to a great retail premises location near some of our competitors and ASDA.

Polycarbonates are thermoplastic polymers. Thermoplastic means a polymer that turns to a liquid when heated and freezes to a glassy state when cooled. Due to these attributes it makes thermoplastics easy to be manipulated or thermoformed. Polycarbonates do not have a unique plastic identification code and are identified as “Other”.
Polycarbonates are known to be prone to scratches leading to many polycarbonates having coatings applied to prevent this depending on their use; they are also durable and have high impact resistance. Polycarbonate has a glass transition temperature of about 150 °C.
